Visual Week in Review: Sort of New York Edition

My phone battery died before the actual meetup started, partly because of some entertaining all-day e-mail exchanges. So enjoy random things that I thought needed to have pictures taken of them over the course of the day while I was traveling down to New York, and looking for sweaters.
Don’t ask. I need sweaters.

Visual Week In Review

Lots of knitting, not much traveling this week.

Appetizers, Potter’s Tavern, Raymertown, NY

Sweet potato fries and stuffed baked potatoes. Both were wonderful. You know you’re using some fantastic bacon when I can’t get enough of it–I usually pick bacon out of things or avoid it entirely. This, I might even eat a piece of on its own, and I haven’t eaten bacon by itself in about twenty

First Baptist Church sign, At the Warehouse, Albany

I like At the Warehouse, but none of the old things lying around ever strike my fancy.

Universal remotes, Walmart, Albany

Have you ever wanted to battle the rest of your family for channel-flipping dominance? With this handy remote control multi-pack, you can.

Winterscape

Things flood a lot in Albany, or at least in my neighborhood. Normally, not the kind of catastrophic floods that do serious property damage and carry away cars. We see more minor floods, that create ankle-deep lakes at the end of your driveway, or turn the space on the street where you’ve parked your car

Snowbanks, side street, Albany

Taken on Tuesday. The snow and ice had mostly melted by this point, and the sidewalk was mostly passable, but it doesn’t look very pretty.
