Petit gâteau

Cupcake is sick again, and it looks to be more serious than last time. I’ve been feeding her medicine and water and Pedialyte and actual food for over 12 hours now, with no sign of her getting better.

I’m frustrated. I know that she’s the smaller and weaker of the two, always has been, and that she’s blind. But I’m so attached to the little thing.

Cats and dogs with diabetes can be treated, but hamsters are too small and too disposable. I know this every time one of them gets sick, and that all the vets I know are able to do is examine them or put them to sleep, but it still frustrates me.
