I never got a paycheck last week because they never got my time sheet for the week before.
Well, that’s nice. I’m glad that didn’t actually get resolved until I called in to ask where the heck my paycheck is.
The good news is that if both checks go through, I get about $500 this Friday.
The bad news …
YAY! Kat and Dave’s wedding today! I put their presents in a box originally belonging to a steel teapot, which I carefully manipulated to say “NOT A TEA KETTLE.” I could have got a more creative present, so I figure the creativity will go into the box and that is that.
I graduated from relay operator training, and will be spending the next two days taking live calls by myself (previously I had someone sitting over my shoulder.)
The negativity that a lot of the employees have toward the jobs, the callers, and everything in general really bothers me. I guess maybe it’s because I feed off …
Word on the street (well, in the Post-Standard) is that Happy Endings, the best coffee shop in the world (well, outside of Amsterdam I suppose) closed on November 30th, a supposed casualty of the smoking ban.
I passed my first week of training and get to come back! Yay!
It’s hardly raking in the bucks, but it’s 30 hours a week more work than I had before.
